Considered to sit between a chef’s knife and a paring knife, the Utility knife, or ‘Petty’, is an all-rounder when it comes to the knives at a chef’s disposal. It is a convenient and versatile tool for cutting tasks where a chef’s knife may be too large, while also being capable of handling jobs that are too substantial for a paring knife.
